Aluminium High Voltage Range
Suitable for use in Non-Ex pumping and tunnelling projects, as well as metalliferous and open-cut mining, KonNx UK’s high voltage aluminium couplers offer a range of voltage ratings in order to assist your site meet its operational needs.
Products available in our high voltage range of cable coupler solutions include:
- the 8BU, with a current carrying capacity of 8,700 volts and rated to 800 amps;
- the 114BKA, the first coupler in our 11,000 volt range, rated to 800 amps and requiring only 4 bolts for faster opening and closing the coupler system, increasing efficiency;
- the 118BKA, the second coupler in our 11,000 volt range, rated to 800 amps and requiring 8 bolts to open and close the coupler system;
- the 15BU, with a current carrying capacity of 15,000 volts and rated to 800 amps;
- the 224BKA, with a current carrying capacity of 22,000 volts and rated to 425 amps;
- the 25BU, with a current carrying capacity of 25,000 volts and rated to 800 amps; and
- the 35BU, the world’s first and only coupler with a current carrying capacity of 35,000V, rated to 800 amps.
A number of compatible accessories are available for products within this range, including gear mount adaptors, crimp contacts, armoured and unarmoured glands, and KonNx UK’s CAT Skid.
As of mid-2022, all KonNx UK aluminium high voltage couplers now dispatch with our battery-free LED Live Line Indicator as a standard feature. Developed using modern LED technology, the use of LED’s allows the Live Line Indicator to be seen even in the bright daylight of open-air operational sites. Redesigned in early 2024, the LED Live Line Indicator is now flush with the coupler for easier cleaning and maintenance.

- Full phase to earth segregation with earth;
